Voices
The Voices tab lists the built-in voices together with the voices you added, with their Gender and Languages. Use Search Voices to find a voice by name.
The Voices tab
- Preview: Click the play button next to a voice. A player opens at the bottom of the page - change the Phrase to hear the voice say your own text, and press Enter to play it again.
- Edit: Open the
⋯menu of a voice you added and choose Edit to change its name, gender, languages and voice settings. - Delete: Open the
⋯menu and choose Delete, then confirm. This can’t be undone.
Clone a Voice
- Click
Create voice. - Enter a Voice name - at least 5 characters.
- Choose the Provider and the voice’s gender.
- Under Audio files, drag in your voice samples or click browse. The upload area shows what the selected provider needs - for the default provider, 1 to 10 MP3 or WAV files of up to 11 MB each.
- Leave Supports all languages on to offer the voice for every language its provider supports, or turn it off and pick the Languages.
- Optionally, open Voice settings to fine-tune the voice, for example its Speed. Reset to defaults brings back the recommended values.
- In a main account, turn on Also create for sub-accounts to add a copy of the voice to each of your subaccounts. Each copy is separate, and subaccounts you create later don’t get it.
- Click
Create voice. The dialog closes when the voice is ready.

Cloning a voice
Only clone voices you have the right to use.
Use a Voice in an Agent
Open the agent, click Agent in the editor header and pick the voice under Voice. The list shows the voices available for the agent’s language, grouped into female and male voices. See Voice and Conversation.Background Sounds
Built-in background sounds are always available to your agents. The Background Sounds tab lists the sounds you upload yourself. To upload a sound:- Open the Background Sounds tab and click
Upload sound. - Enter a Name, for example Cafe ambience.
- Drag in an MP3 file or click browse. The file can be up to 10 MB and between 30 seconds and 5 minutes long.
- Confirm that you own the recording or are allowed to use it commercially.
- Click
Upload.

Uploading a background sound
⋯ menu lets you Rename or Delete it - deleting a sound also removes it from any agent that uses it. Uploaded sounds belong to the account you upload them to.
To play a sound behind an agent’s voice, open the agent, click Agent and choose it under Background Soundscape, then set the Background volume level. Background sounds work only for calls made through a SIP integration.
